RE-ELECT
PROVEN LEADERSHIP
UNBOUGHT AND UNBOSSED
In Memory of the Late
Shirley Chisolm

(Erica) BAKER NORRIS
When I qualified to run for office in June 2020, I made a promise to the people of Opelika Ward 2—to deliver real results on the issues that matter most. Since being elected in August 2020, I’m proud to say I’ve kept that promise and exceeded expectations.
Here’s what we’ve accomplished—together—with proven leadership:
-
Expanded affordable housing
-
Created more opportunities for youth and seniors
-
Promoted diversity and inclusion across our community
-
Invested in the cities infrastructure and community services to sustain future growth
-
Strengthened community-police relations and addressed crime
-
Held the city accountable for upkeep of the beautification of our city
-
Maintained affordable after-school/summer programs and re-invested in First Class Pre-k
-
Supported small businesses and revitalized downtown
-
Enforced ordinances for clean, safe rental properties
-
Upgraded our parks with lighting, restrooms, and more
-
Reduced the Occupational Tax and city debt
-
Promoted transparency in government
-
And most importantly, advocated tirelessly for the people of Ward 2
We’ve made real progress—and we’re not done yet. Let’s keep building a stronger, more vibrant Opelika for all.
The work continues. The momentum is ours. Re- Elect a proven leader.
